Requirements to Participate:
- High School Diploma/GED/or College Transcript,
- Hep B series
- Current Flu and possible Covid Vaccination
This course prepares the student for the administrative and clinical responsibilities of an Entry Level Dental Assistant in a dental office environment.
The following topics will be discussed: Infection Control; Dental Materials; Career Development, Intro to Radiology, Dental Specialties, The Administrative Assistant, General Chairside Assisting; Anatomy and Oral Health.
UConn Radiology & Infection Control Exams: To be eligible to take the UConn Radiology & Infection Control Exams, you must pass the course with a 75% or better average and pass all the clinical skills. The UConn Exams are taken after you have fulfilled clinical externship and graduation. They are MANDATORY if you receive funds from Workforce Alliance and to continue to work in a dental office.
Fees: $500.00 Non-refundable Deposit; $50.00 Registration Fee; $175.00 per Exam Fee (Includes study guides for each exam); $2,495.00 Tuition Fee & $325.00 Book/Lab fee
